30 Mar Government’s Economic Stimulus Package – FREE Zoom Info Sessions for Local Businesses Impacted by the COVID -19 Pandemic
What a changed world we are living in as we all try to navigate the challenges arising from the current COVID-19 pandemic, including protecting the health and safety of our friends and family, and the viability of our businesses, employment and investments. The purpose of this post is to keep you informed that we are going to conduct four Zoom meetings in April 2020 to provide you with updates relating to the Government’s Economic Stimulus Package in response to the pandemic.
These measures were implemented via various Bills, which have been passed by the both houses on 23 March 2020 and very quickly received Royal Assent on 24 March 2020 (including the most applicable Coronavirus Economic Response Package Omnibus Bill 2020), so as to give effect to the Government’s stimulus package.
Although we work from home, we will continue to apply our available resources to support you where we possibly can through this uncertain period, as we all attempt to survive the ever changing restrictions we are all dealing with. Please do not hesitate to contact our office on 0432 029 746, if you require any advice or assistance.
The intended four Zoom meetings (estimated at half hour per meeting) in April 2020 are aimed at breaking down four key aspects of the stimulus package for SMEs and explaining them into details for your better understanding of the new government measurements.
- Zoom Meeting 1 – Boosting cash flow for employers and wages subsidies for apprentices and trainees
- Zoom Meeting 2 – Enhancing instant assets write-off and accelerating depreciation
- Zoom Meeting 3 – Possible reliefs for individuals, including sole trader and other self-employed business owners
